Is it normal to have a fear of using school restrooms?

For some reason, I have this odd fear of using school restrooms. I don't know why I have this fear, I just do. I don't remember getting traumatized into having a fear of school restrooms. Even when I'm on my period I won't use it. I'll cross my legs right in front of the left and walk around slowly. My friend tried to drag me in the restroom. She's on her period and I'm on mine. I just don't understand my fear. I've had this fear since I was four.

    My high school didn't have doors on the stalls so there was no privacy.
    You'd walk in right past some kid taking a dump. "Oh look, it's Bob. Hi Bob. Is everything coming out ok?".

      That's truly primitive and horrible! Yuk, surely everyone is entitled to privacy in the toilet. Why no doors?

        I have no idea. School was probably afraid students would be hiding in there doing drugs or having sex. As a result people only took a dump if it was an emergency. Otherwise they'd hold it in until they got home or use the private bathroom in the nurses office.

          Two students in my school probably did have sex in one. A girl and a boy went to the same stall.

    I avoid using school restrooms, if anyone's in there. I time my potty break in a way so that no ones in the restrooms. But I've started with that this year. Usually i would hold it in until I got home.

      I don't go in school at all. Especially when I'm on my period. When you open that pad/tampon everyone knows it.

        It's not healthy to not take a piss all day and certainly not healthy not to change your pad or especially your tampon all day

    I honestly never used the toilets in high school, they were too stinky / dirty anyway, smelled like swishers mixed with dookie fumes in there cause no one flushed.

      Mines in middle school. They stink and I once saw I boy and I girl go into the restroom in the same stall.
