Is it normal to have a fear of videos

I'm working in an IT industry and sometimes, people would ask me to watch videos. They would say that its some sort of a demo. I trust them, really, 'cause they're professionals but I honestly wouldn't dare to open that file of demo video. Why? Cause I wouldn't take anyone's word above the thoughts that are already playing in my head.

I only watch videos that I've watched with people before. I never watch a video alone. Is this normal? I can't watch YouTube or any video clips alone, even when the lights are on. I can only watch them when there is at least one person with me that I'm sure would be staying until the video's done.

Yes, that's weird.

Did you happen to have any bad experiences with screamer videos?

But why are you so afraid to watch them? What do you think will happen if you do?
