Is it normal to have a headache after running?

Today I ran a mile outside. Well, let's be honest, I walked. It was pretty warm outside. I am average weight, but I have awful endurance. I was breathing heavily the whole time and after I was done, I was sweating all over my body. When I sat down after, my head was pulsing. It wasn't a headache, it just felt like my 'brain' was throbbing. It didn't hurt. It wasn't until the evening that I began to get a headache. It was on my right side and it was a pretty bad one, however my pain tolerance is very low. I couldn't focus on anything and I took a 1 or 2 hour nap. When I woke up, the headache was gone. I went on my phone (great idea), and the pain came back, only duller. Right now, my head is slightly hurting, only it moved to the left side. So I guess now that I'm done rambling, my question is: Is it normal that I got a 4-5 hour headache from walking?

Yeah, pretty normal 5

Did you eat enough and drink plenty of water? If not, that could be why.

Was just going to type this.

@OP - I run outside a lot in all weathers, and it's absolutely crucial to get your water intake up, and time your food right.

Eat within 2 hours before starting your exercise, but do NOT eat immediately before (give it at least half an hour after eating, an hour if it's a big meal).

For water intake, you should at the very least have a decent sized drink of water (water is better than energy drinks) both before and after you do a shorter run. If you are doing a longer distance run or even a shorter run in hot weather, you'll also definitely want a bottle with you whilst you are out.
