Is it normal to have a plate of salt, stones and crystals on the floor?

My friend has one in a few rooms in her house. At first glance I thought it was a bug tap, and then I realized we were in a high rise, and there aren't that many bugs. It kinda throws me off, and I'm scared to ask her about it and get preached at. What is it even about?

If it helps, its a little square dish, with a bunch of sea salt, two crystals in it, maybe some sphere stones, and maybe a penny? I can't remember. It always in a corner on the room.

It's probably Wicca. She might be placing these items there for protection or yo invoke calmness.

Wicca, like the previous comment said, is not devil worship. That's satanism. Wiccans believe that we should live as naturally as possible. It's as harmless as any other religion. You wouldn't think twice if she had crosses or a star of David hanging around, would you?

"It's as harmless as any other religion."

Implying religions haven't caused any bloodshed or discord before.

  • She may practice wicca (which isn't devil worship btw) or just believe in the power of crystals.

She probably is just into mystical stuff, nothing to worry about. If it is wicca, it may be a part of her altar, so don't touch it because she won't be happy.

It could be what the first two posters said or alternatively may even be a homemade version of those silly sand zen garden things some people keep on their living room tables with like the little wooden rake and the small stones and things that they play with when stressed.

She could be a Wiccan or into some other form of mysticism. The best method of knowing is to ask her.
