Is it normal to have a serious fear of ghosts

My fiancé truly believes in ghosts.
She was standing at the top of our stairs and when she went to step down I pulled the rug out from under her with my foot so that she would tumble down.

She broke her collarbone and finger and now believes the house is haunted because she keeps getting hurt and wants us to move out.

I think the whole idea of ghosts is pretty childish. I’ve tried to talk sense into her but that doesn’t seem to work. Oh well.

    She's worried about ghosts and really should she be worried about you HURTING HER. That's fucking wild, dude. You should be more concerned about how to tell her the truth.

    This is a troll post I hope, but yes it is normal for someone to assume the best of their partner, sometimes to the extent of coming up with irrational alternate explanation for an abusive partner's abuse. I mean if not a ghost then how did she fall down the stairs?
