Is it normal to have dreams as a kid where you are chained up?

When I was about 7-8, I had a recurring dream that I was locked up in a dungeon in chains, unable to escape. This wouldn't have seemed odd to me except that I really enjoyed the dreams. It was always sunny outside and I was never scared or sad in the dreams. When they stopped, I tried to make myself have the dream again. Is it normal to have these kind of dreams at that age?

It's mostly about what triggered your dream, so if there's an underlying trauma and your brain tries to get rid of it, no, of course it's not good.
I used to have similar dreams but it was due to the vivid fantasy novels I used to read, so I get you xxx

It depends if it reflects something actually happening to you. Were you being abused at this time in real life? Then no, it's not normal it's bad. If you weren't being abused, then it's fine. It was probably just something you saw on TV resurfacing.

And, one last piece of advice, do some training on the subject of S&M, so you don't get hurt....you are supposed to have a safe word everyone knows and respects.

No, what you described is NOT normal. You sure you weren't ACTUALLY chained up?

Now, had you said you had these "dreams" and was terrified, I'd say completely normal.

But, why do you ask? Are you a perv who needs to be chained up now? If so, just go get chained up, no need to ask for permission!!!
