Is it normal to have left chest pain the day after a night of heavy drinking?

I also took some Adderall that day (it was still probably in my system while drinking), I was tired earlier.
Not surprisingly, i also had a hangover. By the way, I'm a 21 year old male, around 5'10 and 170 lbs.
I also probably drink more than I should, it's not uncommon for me to consume 2 40s of 8% ABV beer two or three times a week.

Any chest pain should be checked out ASAP: it's unlikely at your age that it's a heart attack, but it could be, so don't ignore it any lopnger

Where is the pain exactly? Is it possible that you strained a muscle? That happened to me recently when I slept with my left arm folded behind my head. It was deep tissue pain in the chest area. Thought i was having a heart attack. A hangover only amplifies muscle aches. If not sleeping any intense activity or working with arms over your head will do it. (Cleaning gutters, painting ceilings etc) Mine lasted a few days, but it would prob depend on severity.

    • It's about where the heart is.

That is exactly where mine was. Also happened to a friend about a week later. If you felt it the day after drinking its probably because you slept wrong. Take your right hand and press that area firmly, rubbing in a circular motion. Move up toward the shoulder. Move your neck around. Do you feel soreness anywhere?

Also try lifting that arm over your head. Maybe try and touch your right shoulder. See if you feel anything.
