This will vary from region to region; but I say do whatever works for you personally. As long as your job doesn't bother you about it you should be fine.

It depends on where they are and what you wear in them. I've seen some guys with very tasteful earrings but others with grotesque rings sticking out of their eyebrows or rings in their lips that make it so you can't even understand them when thay talk.
