Is it normal to have so many nervous tics

I'm not too anxious of a person, in fact for the past two years now my hand wringing has finally lessened. It's been replaced with a number of new tics: I have to pull on my right ear lobe when walking, tug my fingers, sigh at really random times, scratch the back of my neck for no reason, rub my hands like I'm cold even when it's warm out, and make several weird sounds only when it's quiet. I clearly haven't got Tourette Syndrom, but this is getting really distracting...

But I don't think you're crazy, you're probably just really bored.

My friend used to have it but I think because he distracted himself with ipad and when we met it eventually stopped

Good for him. It's always nice when others break these habits.

Could be nothing than an occasional thing. Think we all have those from time to time. I used to twist my hair around a pen, fork, or anything that wouldn't break, twist into a knot, and pull it out in small chunks. Eventually stopped. Also used to make gasping-type sounds when nerved-up, but that stopped, too.

Hm, sounds like your hair really loved you then. Thanks, I'll try and squash these urges some more before people think I'm insane.
