Is it normal to hug random things out of loneliness?

I hug anything including pillows, chairs, tables, boxes and etc. I just feel alone so I resorted doing it, none of my friends are available and they come up with excuses which made me hug random things. Perhaps I am just that weirdo or that lonely person who does what that person chooses to do.

I once won one of those massive bears at the funfair. It was like having another person in my bed! I kept it until it gathered too much dust and set off my allergies.

Aww, luvvie. I could hug you. I have a stuffie that I hug when I feel lonely or sad. As a kid, it was the coats on the back of my bedroom door, because they were large and bulky like a real person, when all hugged together.

When I pray, it often feels like I am being hugged.

I hope we will both have more physical hugs in our lives one day.

I like to hug a pillow while I sleep (it is just a really comfortable sleeping position for me), and like to hug my cats (when they allow me to, of course, lol)! I don't see anything wrong with it, it's harmless and if it makes you feel better, why not do it?

For example, there are only sad songs and sad quote pictures in my phone. Also when i feel lonely, i usually smoke.

Look for lifesize plush, can be anything. From bears to dogs to cats and lions. Anything with lifesize is usually ridiculously big, or at least big enough to hug it.

The only reason I ask is because none of the shops near me sell those kinda things.

I didn't hug random things but when I was single I couldn't sleep without hugging a pillow.
