Is it normal to hurt myself when in too much anger or stress?

If I get too stressed or angry I will more often than not end up punching my legs, pulling my hair, or biting my arm, sometimes just hurting myself with any item I have at hand. I rarely do it to a point in which it can be a bad injury, but I still inflict pain on myself when in any of those situations.

I do this too! I rarely bite myself, but hitting my head has been a thing since I was 12 years old, and now I am 18 years old. I used to hit my leg the same way and it got bruised a lot.

The people commenting are absolute dickhead, cunts. Ignore them making fun of you please.

It's not good but arguably common enough to warrant the label of "normal". It's mild self-harm. Try to stop. Perhaps hit a designated pillow.

You should go to mental clinic. You really endanger yourself and bed-fixation is only option!

No I think that's WAY worse than some minor self-harming, at least in terms of how much suffering it causes (which is either way setback in actually curing mental health problems) and you risk getting locked up long term. OP said they do not cause serious injuries to themself. It may still not be directly good, but anyone who wants someone locked up and fixated like that must just lacks sympathy and care more what the self harming "looks like" outwards. Which one would you honestly prefer if it was done to you?

hitting head in the wall is a comman example.
when I am on class 8-10 I use to do it most of the time when I am angry
    after, 10th
then I have an imaginary girlfriend, she won't let me do that.... then I stopped doing that

    • Too lazy and where I live going out for a job at night is the equivalent of walking into an ISIS shooting range.
