Is it normal to keep everything your crush gave you?

Now I know its normal to keep presents and stuff but that's not the only things I keep.
I keep candy wrappers from the candy he gave me, the pen he borrowed me, etc. And other stuff like a pencil I accidently stole, a paper he wrote on, a bunch of plastic he folded, his pictures from Facebook, anything he touches for more than 1 minute that is attainable and I manage to get my hands on too, etc.
Is this normal or am I crazy?

You need to steal his underwear and wear them to church.

I have this tendency too. I used to do it compulsively and it made me ashamed, so I stopped. If something feels creepy I don't do it. If I wouldn't want someone keeping something like that of mine, then I don't do that to them.

These kinds of crushes are a facade. The degree to which you're compelled to save their garbage isn't the degree to which you genuinely care about them or have interest in them, it's actually the degree to which you're focused on yourself.

I could write like a fucking essay about all the implications of it, but I'll just say that this does not get you closer to people. Whether they know about this specific behavior or not, the attitudes that underly it are not conducive to making a real connection with someone.

TL;DR relationships are about respecting another person and doing shit together, not furtively saving their garbage in the corner away from them.

Sorry honey, but that's just too damn creepy! It's almost as if you're worshipping "your crush", which by the way is not normal.

This is normal but not normal, lol. Harmless, I suppose. Kind of obsessive, but that's what crush chemicals can do to somebody's brain. You're flooded with dopamine. These objects trigger more dopamine.

Keep the things. When this eventually wears off, you will have a huge laugh over it.

I've been there twice. Post-crush, I realized, omg, don't let that happen. I ended up in a relationship with both guys. After getting to know them, all my interest just faded away. It's dopamine. Resist, resist! Resist! Ha ha.

Depends on what it is, I guess..Crappy stuff like candy wrappers? Uh, no..Maybe a wine bottle from that one time you hung out? Sure.. I kept a lighter that a woman I dated left in my car, mostly b/c it's good to have one, but, also b/c it reminded me of her. Stupid, I know..But that red lighter means something to me.

Then again, a woman I briefly dated kept a mini mart coffee cup I took to her house one night. Not plastic travel mug..The regular, paper cups..Just because it was mine.
