Is it normal to know everything happening in people's lives because of facebook

I get on Facebook about once or twice a day. I always scroll through the news feed and look at any exciting pics and information. When I see the people on my friends list in real life I have to pretend like I don't already know what's happening in their lives. So then they go on explaining all these things about themselves that I already know. I mean they did post in on facebook themselves, but I don't wanna say "Oh yeah, I already know all that from Facebook because I'm afraid I'll sound like a creeper. All I do is just read all the info on the newsfeed and I feel like I know someone's life story.

The purpose of Facebook is to tell others what is going on in your life. Still you have to be careful not to cross the creeper line.

Umm I don't think some of the commenters have been reading this post correctly.
The poster clearly stated that he's only on Facebook once or twice a day and scrolls through his/her newsfeed and is NOT a creeper who constantly checks facebook to see what others are doing.
Tell me, who DOESN"T scroll their newsfeed? Otherwise, what's the use of Facebook?

I've got the same problem though. And it's totally normal. I just let them tell me again, although sometimes I will say that I saw on Facebook and still let them tell me. Getting it "from the horse's mouth" is way more exciting than reading about it in text :P

    Stop worrying about it x)

I thought people assumed that when they wrote it on Facebook that everyone DOES know about it, so they don't have to tell you face to face. If they do bring it up, I always say something like, "Oh ya, I saw that you wrote that on Facebook." I'm not ashamed for mentioning it, nor do I feel like a creeper, because THEY are the ones who wrote it for their whole world to see.

That's just me though, and I could have the whole concept wrong and be freaking people out. Oh well, it's just Facebook.
