Is it normal to like pretending to be someone different around strangers?

When I'm around strangers I like to pretend I'm like a completely different person like these kinda things:(they're kinda ridiculous)

-I might put on an accent
-Walk with a limp
-Make funny noises
-Twitch a lot
-Change my voice
- etc.

Does anyone else love to do this and see if they pass you as a normal person?

I know a guy who likes dressing and behaving like an old Lady with vascular dementia. Generally speaking I'd say it is normal only if your friends think it is funny or if you do it for camuflaging purposes. Or in the case of a limp, to send out a fake distress signal, the way some birds do to attract predators towards themselves and save their offspring by running away in the nick of time.

The 'putting on an accent' one sounds fun! I might have to try that myself - As long as you don't mind, of course ;)

  • I do this when I'm bored and feel like messing with someone. I'll never see the person again so there's no harm.

LOL I only do this to creepers at the bar that dare to approach. It's pretty fun..my friend and I already have our fake names set and it just goes from there.

Lol! My best friend and I do the same thing at the clubs!! When some weirdo or guy whose been mackin' to a bunch of woman already comes up to us we pretend we're sisters (names improvised) and that we speak only Spanish (we both know enough and speak Spanglish anyway)
