Is it normal to like when someone i barely know gives me a compliment?

My physical therapist told me I have a really firm core. He said that it's actually really hard to have visible abs like mine, that most of his clients my age are obese and don't really do any exercise outside of physical therapy.

A few days later at my gynecologist appointment the doctor said that I have no sunspots on my chest and that most women in this part of town in their 30's usually have some sort of melasma there. I told her I wear sunblock everyday and was praised for that too.

Yesterday, at work I wore a pleated khaki skirt, a purple and black striped long sleeve shirt with a red Dragon Ball Z t shirt on top and purple and black leggings under the skirt and got FIVE compliments from people that day. It was a 10 hour shift so that's like a compliment every two hours.

I feel happy. Is it normal that compliments from people I barely know made my week?

That has happened to me a lot this year for some reason, even though generally I really don't go out much.
But this year I went to an MCR concert and some random girl took a selfie with me, and then another woman tapped me on he shoulder and hugged me saying "you're wonderful!" Idk even know why she was saying it, but.. This made me kind of emotional to just be told that out of nowhere, like I needed to hear it..
Next I went to a sea safari where we saw dolphins and it was like we were on a boat on the sea so my hair must have got windswept, and afterwards while waiting in the line to go to the toilet, this woman with her kid smiles at me and says, "your hair's cool!"
More recently I was at the village carnival watching a live band and this foreign dude started talking to me about the band and then I went home and came back, when they had had their break and the band came back on, and this Lithuanian woman came up to me and was like, "Hello!! My husband was talking to you (he's from Bulgaria) and we wanted to say that you are so kind and beautiful!! Like my daughter", or something like that. And they were acting like they know me and when I left they hugged me and this woman literally kissed me on the cheek (must be a culture thing) quite a bizarre encounter, it was a shock to my system to be given so much attention from strangers this year, but it was heartwarming.

If you are a woman and he is a man then he could be trying to rape you. Most men are actually predators in disguise.
