Is it normal to look at your poop?

So I am usually curious as to what shape my poo is after I do my business. but also, I always check to see how long it takes for corn to show up after I eat it. Does anyone else do this?

    Not only normal, but a good idea from the point of view of your health. By coincidence, I heard a radio program this morning during which a microbiologist said everyone should check their poo every time so they know what's normal and what's a change they should get checked out.

    It's good to look at your poop so you can describe it to the police if anyone steals it.

    I think it's instinct. I check to see if my poop is green, bloody, etc.
