Is it normal to look in the toilet after you shit?

So I don't know how many people do this, but every time I poop, I always look in the toilet just to see my creation. I guess I just want to see if it looks as big as it felt coming out. I especially like to do this when there's one of those long poops that comes out for a long time without breaking off, just to see how impressive my handiwork is. I'm also intrigued to see what looks like when it's the kind of bowel movement where it comes out in tons of smaller pieces. I like to look and see how many pieces actually came out. Anybody else look at it after they go to the bathroom?

    Every single time. Idk if its ingrained in human psyche or if I'm just weird. I feel like it would be an evolutionary benefit if you examine your poop after you take a dump.

      I saw a YouTube poll on this once (reliable source, I know) and people seemed to be split 50/50. I always examine my produce with pride.

      My wife is Dutch, and the bowl of old-fashioned toilets in The Netherlands (Germany, too, I believe) were arranged so that the hole was at the front and crap got deposited on a platform at the back. Basically, they were designed to give you a clear view of crap unobstructed by water.

      I haven't checked to see if it's true, but my wife maintains that the incidence of late-diagnosed bowel cancer went up when toilets with the hole at the back became fashionable.

    I once used too much blue food coloring in a mug cake I made in the microwave. For the next three days after that, my shit was a bright blue. It was amusing, but at the same time had me worried.
