Is it normal to lunge at my mother?

I went lunging at her because she told me that I was worthless and my dream job was nothing and went ahead tried to crush what I really want to do in life and also because I was always seen as unimportant. I know my anger gets the best of me sometimes but it was the way she had done this, I get that my older brother pinned me down to avoid me hitting her but it was the way she had said it to me.

I am at this point where I really want to shut the door on my moms face and never return.

    Adults with certain negative mindsets don't change. Since you're living under her roof you can either continue to put up with her, or make enough money to move out. I also suggest that you get some help for your anger issues. Don't let her toxic ways turn you toxic.

      Well I am planning to move out as well as considering going to anger management classes again.

    Truth hurts?
    Not sure how old you are but the last paragraph should read,

    She's at the point where she really wants to slam the door on my lazy ass and never regret it.

    However she's a Mom and will continue to accept you in her home. As long as you live there under her roof, expect to get her opinions. She I bet, only wants good things for you and she thinks she knows a little more about life.
    Insulting you may not be the best way to show it, but I bet she is just as frustrated as you and has tried other ways to get you motivated to do something with your life.

    Moms can be wrong, but not likely and not often.

    My mom came from behind and pushed me down these two stairs out back one day when I was trying to go to school and I totally lost it and threw my backpack on the ground and was literally on the verge of losing control of my self but I never have lunged or hit her or anything. My dad beat the shit out of me before for sayinf "whatever" to her I couldnt imagine what'd happen if I touched her.

    Normal that you’d want to, after the hurtful things she said to you, but not normal to act on it. You need to make plans to move out asap, before you do something you’ll regret.

    yup. I've never actually "back-handed" my own fucking mother, though I have day dreamed of it many times. :)

    I did slap the fuck out of her once. She didn't really know what to do after that lol.
