Is it normal to make someone feel bad about their age and not mean to?

so I have an older friend she is 79 and is super awesome.we hang out and stuff even though I am in my twenties.we are friends nothing even though some people have made up rumours about us. she doesn't seem old at all sometimes. I don't want to make her feel old and sometimes I do. I just worry about her and i care about her and I am not very tactful sometimes and I think I hurt her feelings

Yeah. I've got an old black dude as my friend, and he's friggin' hilarious! Although, the difference is, he can accept his oldy-ness, and EMBRACES IT! He gets away with practically anything, uses funny words/grammar, and everything else a cool gramps does. If you can get her to come to terms with it, you guys' relationship will be that much better. Ask her if she's afraid of death, her health, or whatever else.( Rhyme intended ). Although, don't force/push it on her either.

I think you should accept that she doesn´t want to think of herself as old, as long as she doesn´t want to do something really really out of hand, enjoy your time with her! Don´t ask if she´s tired etc
