I never forget a face once ive seen it. Not really, and the same for names.
When I see them again it may take me a few seconds or minutes but I remember exactly whom they are. I even remember online friends I had 10-15 years ago and spoke to only a few times so I guess not really friends so much as people I communicated with a little. I never forget someone.
I remember the dumbest shit. The most annoying is remembering what everyone had to eat or drink last time I waited on them. Like I run into you at the grocery store and I’m like, “sup chicken salad!”
It's actually theorized that a lot of the people you see in your dreams are randon strangers you've seen in person without realizing it.
A few people do seem to just have that ability naturally.
It can be very useful in jobs where at least giving people the impression that you are personally interested in them earns you Brownie Points. Due to my late wife being a Member of Parliament, she got to know one MP who went on to become Prime Minister pretty well. She was amazed at his ability to always link names to faces once he'd been introduced to them, and how he'd mention things people had told him in passing years before, like what village they lived in, where they worked or had worked, their family members and so on.
I'm the opposite, I usually have to know someone well before I remember face and name
I have a bland face. Not ugly, not handsome. Just normal, normal enough to forget easily.
