Is it normal to not understand what people are saying when you are an adult ?

Is it normal to have these two problems as a 30 year old ?
1) I don't understand half the conversation that people say when talking to me especially explaining things like what they do what they want me to do ...etc.

2) To not hear the conversation very well when people are talking .

P.S Note that the first problem is i am hearing what they are saying but i don't understand and remember what they said , so when i want to explain to someone something someone has told me to like what she wants from a job or where that person works and what he does ,i forgot what that person / people said because i didn't understand very well .
The second one is because i didn't hear what the person/people are saying .

If you aren't hearing well, get your hearing checked.

If you aren't comprehending well, you might have an attention span issue or are trying to follow something that's over your head. You don't seem stupid, so I'm guessing you just aren't giving your full attention to others when they explain things to you.

i think i know what you mean , is that you are listening actively to the conversation but you just dont get an idea about what they are talking about as if your mind was blank or something...i think you should try to focus on people's conversation or see a doctor about it

I get this too, but only when I'm given multiple spoken orders. This was recognized and diagnosed from an early age. Its got something to do with the genetic makeup of my brain.

Go see a neurologist. You might have a brain tumor.

It has happened to e when I was younger, that I just blacked out and didn't understand a word. I don't think it's good to have this happen often.

Similar things have happened to me which is one of the reasons I've decided to get a brain scan...

Maybe you're just stupid? As an adult you should be able to understand... I found in my early 20s that I started to "get" adult conversations and had personal experience and thoughts on certain topics.
