Is it normal to pick up the habits of people you spend alot of time with?

I often find myself subconciously copying my friends actions, which i know means that you like someone and are trying to connect with them. but when im not in their company i will carrying doing their little traits! or even speaking a little bit like them! one of my friends does this odd finger point when saying something profound and i do this an awful lot now! it's just odd, sometimes i do it by accident but other times it's more purposeful...weird huh? :p

Yeah its normal, that used to happen to me, some people even told me that I don't have my own personality, I just copied and copied and copied, but its just a thing that happens when I hang out with someone. Maybe I just do it because I want to get along with them, I was scared if I be myself that they wouldn't like it, sometimes I just did it because I liked what they do. You will soon stop doing it.

I sometimes find myself talking a little like people I hang around, too. Usually people I like and pay a lot of attention to, so their actions and ways of speaking stick in my head. I don't do it on purpose, but I usually don't mind and other people don't seem to notice.

I always do that and I think it's perfectly normal. Well at least i think it's mean if you do it to make them feel badO_o

Normal. But I hate when people I'm around start imitating my West Virginia accent. A lot of people here in the Midwest pick that up immediately and i don't understand why it happens so frequently. Literally in one night of hanging out they will develop a hearty twang...dumb.
