Is it normal to pick your nose and wipe the boogers under your desk at work?
I am an attorney and used to work at a big law firm in a major city. Sometimes I would be in the middle of drafting a document - on a good day I would be writing from a stream of consciousness as thoughts popped into my head. When I was on a roll, I did not like to take breaks unless they were absolutely necessary.
There were several times where my nose was stopped up and I would pick it if my office door was closed. I had to do this because I didn't have any tissues in my office. Normally I would simply wipe the picked booger onto a small piece of paper and throw the paper in the trash can. However, there were times when no free paper was available, so I would wipe the boogers off on the bottom of my desk.
After about a year in my office, a senior associate left the firm and I inherited his old office. I tried to wipe off the boogers from the bottom of the desk, but I guess I missed a few. The 1st year associate in my old office actually walked over one time to complain that the bottom of his desk was encrusted with boogers! Unfortunately I had to tell him I had done it because I knew he would eventually discover that I was the only person whom had ever used that desk.
