Is it normal to play video games so much that you "think" about game stuff irl?

What I mean is like, if you played GTA for so long that while driving you think about driving on the sidewalk for a second before realizing you're not playing a game and that, you know, driving on the sidewalk is bad.

I've been playing this MMO a lot lately and sometimes I'll see something in real life and my thoughts automatically kinda go to, "Oh this is useful in the game".

Does this happen to anyone else?

Omg, that sounds like fun, I almost always cross the road between moving traffic. I'm going to try this next time hehe

Hell yes this is normal, when talking with my friend we sometimes refer something from real life in to a game manner.

I do that on occasion but more often I picture how something in real life would play out in a film (shots, music etc.)

Occasionally when I fuck something up, I think "I'll just reset the power and avoid doing that."
I need to fix that before I accidentally commit suicide...

Yes it's normal but it can also signal a potential underlying addiction, which is fine in itself unless your video games obsession disrupts with your daily life or activities

Swoozie made a video about GTA and how addicting it is. The video is called, "Grand sex auto."

    It's hilarious.

I kinda do that too but be careful with the Grand Theft Auto thing because if you lose control over that u might accidentally kill someone

    No because reality is harsh.

That's normal I guess, but it might cause you problems. What if it gets worse over the years and you actually think you're in GTA?
