Is it normal to prefer talking to myself rather than talking with my friends?

Well, since I can remember, I've always talked to myself instead of talking to my friends, and that has been pushing me away from them, to the point where there are only few remaining.

I just prefer talking to me rather than them. It is way more interesting. But everybody seems to stare at me with quite bad eyes.

What should I do?

Keep your inner monologue inside where it belongs. We all have one but most of us keep it in our head.

I don't think there's anything wrong with self-talk or self-thought. I'll admit I do think things through almost in conversational form with myself, especially when I'm making a big decision or really working out my views on something.

To see someone literally sitting there moving their mouth talking to thin air isn't really normal though.

Watch out for those bad eyes! Seriously though, if you do this around other people they will find it disturbing, so just keep it to yourself

Buy yourself a bluetooth and the stares will instantly stop. That is why it was created.

Keep talking to yourself until you feel like you are two persons. Then you will have a friend. Haha
