Is it normal to pretend to be multiple people?
So... How should I begin this? As quite the crowd of you know, most people tend to behave differently on the internet, or even portray themselves to be completely different people for whatever reason they can conjure up. I've conformed to this psychological phenomenon too, but lately a little bit extreme I'd guess?
I enjoy creating "characters" for myself, which I shall then proceed to act accordingly to how I'd imagine them to be, and I get very much into it. There's a bunch of people I act as ranging anywhere from a 13 year old girl, 30 yr old man with narcolepsy issues to a Transvestite teenager.
I shalt make the fine point to clarify that I do not have DID, as more often than not DID patients do not recall the various events and actions of their "split" personalities. I am entirely aware of this but I do intermittently sometimes forget that I'm merely acting since I concentrate so much on it. Additionally, I will literally never EVER break character while doing this.
It's gotten so out of hand it's not even just the internet, I'll occasionally dress, make-up, and go out as different people in real life and I admit that I find this hobby quite enjoyable.
There are about 13 different people I'll be as, but I do faintly feel sorry for the people I've interacted with that do not know the fabrication I've just created for fun. I'd love to hear your thoughts on the matter.
