Is it normal to punch women?

Yeah it's fine. The reason society says that men shouldn't hit women is because men are generally stronger than women, but that strength difference is only present from puberty onwards. So little boys and little girls fighting each other are pretty evenly matched.

Even when they are adults though, if it's in self-defence then I don't see why a man shouldn't be able to hit a woman. The woman is in the wrong for attacking him, the man shouldn't have to allow the woman to physically assault him because he apparently has the obligation to look out for her welfare, the welfare of his attacker. Obviously he should use suitable retaliation, a slap from the woman doesn't warrant a punch in return, but that's true regardless of sex.

Make sure to teach him when he's older then that society is ridiculous and sexist and that, despite this logic, he will get arrested for hitting a girl (even in self-defence) if he does it when he's an adult.

I think at young age teaching kids to restrain or block is better. As an adult woman, I'll fight a dude. But I expect to get hit back.

So what if the girl was weaker than you? The instigator of trouble doesn't get to become the victim when their abuse is retaliated against.

For example, if a burglar with a baseball bat breaks into a house, I think it's acceptable for the owner to shoot them with a gun, even though the weapons are not equal and the fight is not fair.

Besides, letting a certain group believe that they can get away with disrespecting and mistreating others only makes them rotten and entitled.

Not because of personal morals. Because of social reviews.
itdoesn't matter how unfair, unjustic, violent, the women is toward a man, very first time he put a hand on a women suddenly all the wrong women did now disappear. Everyone will sing prayers for the women saying be brave. There will be campaigns to support her. People will protest against men saying we are nothing but abusive creatures. Not all but some women who are regularly violent against men, using these advantages to bully. Knowing they will be fine.
So, in this matter. Don't do the right thing . Do the smart thing. Don't hit a women. Because very first time you do that you are a monster and she is a victim.
This statement is not against women. Bit against how society reacts same incident but differently when there is different sexes.

when your kids i think its more acceptable because their bodies are more anatomically the same. (little muscle mass, similar in height). but i think it should promptly be taken care of when they get into adolesence due to the growth of boys into men. i think we should also drill the same idea into girls in their youth to not hit boys. if a woman is beating a man i think the man has every right to get physical to end it and do nothing more, dont excessivly hurt the woman. but lets just not hit other people and settle it with maturity with our words, ya?

My Grandfather taught me " a man never hits a lady but a woman who hits a man is no lady!" I think that was the best bit of advice I've ever had.

I've never hit a woman growing up. I've had one ex go psycho on me and try to punch me, I blocked and I held her down until she calmed down, warning her if she were to try and hit me, I will hold her down until the police arrives. But I did not hit her. Thank God that was a quick relationship... Russian chicks are insane!

The only time I would hit a woman is if she harms my family, girlfriend and future children. Then I will fight back as hard as I can.
