Is it normal to reactivate/deactivate instead of log in and out of facebook?

I prefer using it this way. I don't really like the feeling that people are looking at my profile etc while I'm offline. So I deactivate it after every use. I think it also encourages people to actually call me or see me when they find out they can't just get a hold of me easily via my facebook profile.

I think if you don't want people viewing your profile when you're offline it suggests you don't trust them a great deal with the information you've made available. Which in turn suggests either Facebook isn't right for you or you should only add people who you are happy to have peruse your account.

Also people can't make a comment on your wall unless you happen to be online, making it very awkward for anybody trying to communicate with you in the casual, unscheduled way social network sites lend themselves to. It's your prerogative how you use Facebook but deactivating every time you leave isn't normal.

Thank you for your well articulated, insightful comment. It was thought provoking and have since deleted my account :) kind regards.

In today's era, deleting your Facebook is like running away from home.

i just never go to it because its a slow ass website that needs to be fixed if possible if its not just all of the traffic on the website then yes. this website and alot of others are fast and thats what i like.

Doesn't it confuse your friends when your profile is gone, then back the next day, then gone again..? Lol just wondering.

I recently made a new Facebook with little people as friends because ehh, it's the only way I have to communicate with them.
