Sometimes i go back and just read random conversations we had, sometimes reading it is funny and sometimes its really sad and bittersweet, but its actually always quite a bit of reading material
mostly sad though
anyone else do this?
My ex-wife took my daughter and left me so I do the same thing. But I do it because I try to go back and see where exactly it started falling apart. Did I miss something? Were there signs that I ignored? If so, how can I prevent that in my future endeavors?
You can’t do it to relive those moments because it will only torture yourself. I ended up attempting to take my own life and ended up on life support for 7 days, had to have CPR for 18 minutes and my heart shocked 4 times. I only had a 15% chance of surviving but somehow, for my daughter, I pulled through. So since then, I don’t relive those moments, I don’t try to go back to what things were, because obviously something wasn’t right, but instead, try to see where things went wrong and learn from your mistakes.
Yup read some old ones myself. You enjoy trip down memory lane as they make you happy.

Sometimes I go to old WhatsApp/Telegram groups and I like sending a meaningless GIF and then some people are leaving !

I don't, just because I'd rather not relive those times in my life, and both of my relationships were from years ago, when I was young and pretty dumb, and have changed a lot since then, and I really don't like reading my cringe from those days, lol.
I read all kinds of old stuff from my past now and then as well as look at old pictures. I guess I enjoy torturing myself but there's worse shit you can do in that purpose amIright.

Nostalgia is real, it's good to reflect, it helps put things in perspective
No, I just move on the ex was in the past. Sure I'll get a bit of flashbacks every once in a while but the reasons why I move on because the ex is probably living her own life and with someone else.
If they were good I don’t see a problem. I kept mine only in case I need collateral blackmail
