Is it normal to refuse to call her mrs "smith"?

So I have this acquaintance that recently got married. Yay for her and all, but she expects me to call her Mrs "Smith" (husbands last name, changed for anonymity). My problem with this is, I am Catholic and it just doesn't feel right to accept her as truly married since she isn't Catholic and obviously didn't get married via the Catholic church. I don't see her marriage as valid so why should I call her by this new name? Its fake as far as I'm concerned. She said it was disrespectful though. Who is right?
