Is it normal to regret not having more fun/partying more in one's youth?

I'm getting into my late 20s now, and I often feel regret that I didn't go out and have more interesting experiences when I was, say, 10 or 5 years younger.

If I could do it again, I'd probably try to date and flirt more, go to more parties, get a bigger social circle, experiment a little - In general, be more outgoing and social.

Pretty normal to have regrets like these right?

No, I've come to accept that I'm a boring person and no one likes being around me

I used to, then I started actually going out more in order to "make up for the past", and soon enough I realized why I hadn't partied that much when I was younger in the first place: it's all bullshit.

I was a goody-two-shoes for most of my young life, and I kind of felt the same way.

I learned that life is long, and it's perfectly fine and even better to have fun now, because more people just let me do whatever I want. I've also realized that a lot of people feel the same way at your age, as I did. I was super serious, but not anymore.

I giggle at the people I know in their early-mid twenties sighing about working too hard and making ends meet. I know that later on, when they're more comfortable than their counterparts because they put their energy into their future when they were younger, they are going to be the biggest party people around, just like I am.

I used to have such terrible social anxiety and suffered from bullying in school so I didn't party much at all at that age and a while beyond.

Well im in my early 20s and im kind of feeling the same except its more like I hope I can still do those things before I turn, lets say, 25. And for a female there's the added bonus of losing your looks past your late 20s, or at least not being in your prime anymore, cant wait for that! (sarcasm) So my goal is to lose some weight and try to get laid a couple times lmao, so I can make the most out of my youthful looks. But otherwise the clubbing and drinking thing gets boring fast and there's a reason why its only teens and people in their early 20s doing it; its not fulfilling at any age older than that (with a few exceptions I guess). I will admit though, whenever I watch tv and see young people my age and younger partying and being more social and having more experiences than me there is a little pang of jealousy in my stomach, but I guess you just have to keep a strong head and realize that most people your age and younger are NOT doing those things. Also, you have to be kind of rich anyway...
