Is it normal to scratch my thumbs?

I've had this for years. I love scratching the outer parts of my thumbs. I first started with the right one, then with the left one. I scratch them mainly with two teeth of the zipper set apart and ribbing my thumbs against them. When I scratch my left thumb I feel some kind of tickle under my skin, just below my neck. I love that feeling. I cannot always feel it but when I do, it feels amazing. I just wanna know if there are other people like me.

    It's just a habit. My hot older sister keeps her nails very long and polished (way sexy), but will also chip the polish off as she sits, reads, has a drink, whatever. Sometimes doesn't realize she's doing it, and she'll do it with the same hand fingers. Re-polishes them all the time anyway, but it's not unusual to see her nails done up fresh and hot one day, then the next or two days later, chipped a bit..
