Is it normal to see christianity as an immoral position for this reason?

There are two gods described in the Bible Yahweh and Satan. Yahweh says that Satan is evil and wants to harm us. Yet there is no physical evidence of this and Satan has had no chance to give his testimony.

Keeping the modern concept of innocent until proven guilty in mind. Christianity would be choosing one god over another and essentially condemning Satan as guilty without evidence or even getting to hear the other side of the story. Judging someone like this, to me, appears to be fundamentally immoral and foolish.

I believe the bible is full of symbolism and what that symbolism represents is what is most understood by most of the world. I study the bible but not for Christianity but for knowledge of history and I can't say it's wrong if I don't know what's inside of it haha

The Bible is full of contradictions and it will still be full of contradictions when they decide to change it again. The Bible, long ago, used to be full of wisdom and wise teachings until it was edited to best control the people. Christians still believe that god wants us to love and respect each other even though he's what most of our wars are fought over. If you've never heard of George Carlin, I strongly suggest you look him up and give him a listen.

In Christianity there is only one God. Satan was created by God, and was the head angle. God gave angels and humans have free will. Satan wanted to be the same as God and be worshiped. He choose to sin (1/3 of all angles sinned with him). For this reason they were cast out of heaven. Also it was Satan who took the shape of a snake to fool man into sinning.

Do you have any evidence for this at all beyond the supposed hear say of your God?

satan and god must exist in the first place to have "evidence" about who is guilty and not.

    • Yes, but Christians would still be immoral because they believe these entities are real. From their perspective these are real beings and yet they are prepared to judge Satan without even allowing him any sort of defense at all.

That seems pretty immoral to me.

He's saying that from their point of view, they believe god and Satan exist and that its immoral to shun Satan without giving him a proper trial.

It is said in the Bible the Satan is the father of lies, and if this is true, his testament would be totally full of shit and invalid. God is good and Satan is bad, but Satan gets to live because God let's everyone, including Satan, have free will even if it means they do things that are not beneficial to themselves or others.
People, on the other hand, are a mixture of good and bad and it is very hard for one to know the truth about a person which is why everyone should be allowed to tell their side of the story. One cannot assume a person is all bad and totally full of lies.

The kind of free will god gives us is equivalent to the kind of free will a man holding a gun to another man's head gives him. "Go ahead and make your choice. You can do what you want to do but if you don't do what I want I pull the trigger.", he says.

    • Wouldn't Satan say the same thing about God though? Who is to know if Satan is Good and God is bad or vice versa?

God says not to rape, murder or lie to people. That sounds like a good guy to me. I'll trust Him.

I'm not going to repeat all that I just said down there so.. SCROLL DOWN AND READ MY COMMENT. I do wonder though, did he directly say this to you or was it something you read from the bible? If you wouldn't believe in the average gossip than why this? This is like 4,000 year old fairy tales. You don't need to believe in them not to rape, kill ,steal, lie, etc. Not trying to steer you away from your belief, just making sure you know what you need to to make a proper decision.

In Numbers 31:7-18 Moses and the Lord order their people to murder the Midianites and keep the virgin women for rape.
Have you um, read the Bible?
          Here is a start:
They attacked Midian just as the LORD had commanded Moses, and they killed all the men. All five of the Midianite kings – Evi, Rekem, Zur, Hur, and Reba – died in the battle. They also killed Balaam son of Beor with the sword. Then the Israelite army captured the Midianite women and children and seized their cattle and flocks and all their wealth as plunder. They burned all the towns and villages where the Midianites had lived. After they had gathered the plunder and captives, both people and animals, they brought them all to Moses and Eleazar the priest, and to the whole community of Israel, which was camped on the plains of Moab beside the Jordan River, across from Jericho.

Moses, Eleazar the priest, and all the leaders of the people went to meet them outside the camp. But Moses was furious with all the military commanders who had returned from the battle. "Why have you let all the women live?" he demanded. "These are the very ones who followed Balaam's advice and caused the people of Israel to rebel against the LORD at Mount Peor. They are the ones who caused the plague to strike the LORD's people. Now kill all the boys and all the women who have slept with a man. Only the young girls who are virgins may live; you may keep them for yourselves.
