Is it normal to shake your leg when impatient or bored?
I was just doing this on the bus and started wondering whether it looks weird to other people.

I think it's normal, but a lot of times people get annoyed. I hate it when it when I'm minding my own damn business, and someone touches my knee, and kinda tries to hold it down, because their annoyed that I'm bouncing my leg with nervous energy. Unless the tapping, or bouncing is shaking the whole room then I think people should just piss off.
... because I don't like people touching me, and trying to hold my legs down without my consent?
I tap my fingers or my feet but I dont shake unless it's in anticipation of getting laid or a financial investment finally coming to bloom
I do it all the time.. it's a reflex for me.. I'm currently doing it while I'm laying on my swag lol
Totally normal!
Perfectly normal. I heard somewhere that one of the reasons it's done is if you don't get enough sleep, but either way, it's a very normal thing I wouldn't worry about it coming off as weird at all.
Depends on how much u do it
If a lot of people have told u to stop and if ur nervous, u should probably look into it
I fidget too, and obviously since everything I do is totally normal, that is too. 😏
On your own or on the bus (or anywhere else where everyone is sorta in their own little private mental space) it's fine, but it's not a great look, since it can make you appear to be either extremely nervous about something, ready to explode with suppressed rage or on drugs of some sort. So it's best to try to suppress the urge for job interviews, first dates and that sort of thing.
I recall reading years ago that researchers looking into why some people have a higher metabolic rate and seem to be able to eat more and not gain as much as others do concluded that things like fidgeting, frequenting changing your sitting position and just generally moving around more makes a difference, and can account for hundreds of extra calories burned per day.
It's normal, I do it most of the time but it's not sign of an healthy mental state. If you need to do it you're probably overthinking or too nervous for your own good.
Try to stop and calm yourself. Meditation helped me reduce it greatly.
