Is it normal to share relationship secrets with your (girl)friend?

My best friend from grade school is a girl who's always been there through all of my relationships. She's met all of the girls I'd dated through the years.
I'm currently married and she and my wife get along great.
When frustrated(w/ wife), is it normal to vent to my 'friend' about what's frustrating me? [She's nagging me, she didnt take kids to school, she didnt cook dinner, she's lazy...etc]
(No, I don't share personal info when wife and I argue. I keep that between us.)

It's one thing when I vent to the guys but, is it normal to vent to another female 'friend'?

Would you have a problem if wife vented to her best male friend?

A friend is a friend. The gender doesn't matter.

It's a fine line. If you feel it's wrong, it probably is. But if it's innocent venting, it could be fine.

Your friend doesn't give two shits about your stupid issues.

Don't share anything unless they are a ride or die. Are you out of your mind?

No, I wouldn't feel ashamed. I'm not sharing anything personal. just common minor frustrations.

The same way you vent to your guy friends, I just have a girl-friend I vent to at times.

Would you feel ashamed if you wife saw the messages?
