Is it normal to snap a wrist when doing a thumbs up?

I dont know if this I'd just how someone naturally gives a thumbs up or if I'm just thinking too much about it. I snap my wrist in a quarter of a second into position to give it instead of slowly just clenching hand and letting my thumb up. I've only recently noticed this when my friends pointed out I did this.
