Is it normal to snap your fingers when you're trying to remember something?

So, I realized recently that I have this habit of snapping whenever I am trying to remember something. Like, if I'm trying to remember someone's name and it's right on the tip of my tongue I just snap a whole bunch in quick succession. I've never seen anyone else do it, so I'm wondering- is it normal?
