Is it normal to start a new school in seventh grade?
I had to move over the summer to look for a new house close to Chicago. I'm starting to feel like a 6th grader, because I don't know where everything is, and the soon to be seventh graders do.

Yes, it's normal to go to a different school if your parents have to move. It's never easy of course. By the way you're too young for this website.
Normal. My parents use to move a lot so I use to go to different schools at any random year. Oh and btw, why the fuck are you posting on here?
Aren't most people starting a new school when they start 7th grade? I mean, I'm not sure how it works these days, but when I was a kid, 7th grade was the beginning of what we then referred to as "junior high school," but what is now referred to as "middle school."
All that aside, I was a military brat, so we moved frequently. I'm not positive I could accurately recall all of the elementary schools I attended - but there are at least 5 that I can remember, plus 2 junior high schools and 1 high school (my father retired from the military just before I entered high school). So, if you're a military brat, it is normal to change schools pretty frequently.
My parents moved the summer before I was going into 8th grade and that wasn't too bad, because I had a year to make friends before high school. Obviously you're not going to know anyone there because you're new, but that could also be a good thing because everyone would be seeing you for the first time and you could get to make a good first impression on them.
