Is it normal to steal underwear from a college laundry dorm room?

When I was in college there was a laundry room for the entire 4-story dorm on my floor. My roommate and did not like a kid named Mike who lived on our floor because that kid would always talk trash about the floor and he was just a big jerk.

My roommate and I would sometimes steal the underwear of men and women from dryers and would hide it in Mike's room - most people left their dorm room doors open during the day and we would make our move when we saw Mike walk out of his room to use the men's room. We would sometimes leave the underwear in conspicuous places where people could see them from the doorway and other times hid the underwear where Mike probably didn't find it for days or weeks! One time we hid a large pair (42-in waist) of men's underwear that had faded brown stains and hid them in a pocket of Mike's winter jacket!

People in the dorm eventually found out about the underwear and thought that Mike was some kind of pervert, even though he always denied stealing the underwear. My roommate and I really pranked him good!
