It's normal if you have store warranty on an item which is BS most of the time.
I used to collect receipts that I found on the ground or in trolleys etc. Because I was nosey and wanted to see what other random people would buy.
I had old receipts dating back from 2010 because it was taking up space in my house I had to throw a big majority of them away.
I can kinda relate to this a little bit. It sounds like OCD, and like a coping mechanism for when they actually throw away the old receipts. That's just my opinion of course.
Yeah I'm a hoarder and trying to throw the receipts away. I am taking pictures of everything I want to throw away.
Because on some of them there are faded names of restaurants or movies with dates, or specific groceries which are memories, and on some of them I can increase the contrast in Photoshop and see more. Also a lot of them are family members' receipts cause I was helping them with taxes. Since I don't know until I use Photoshop I have to take a picture of each one. Even though a majority are completely blank.
