Is it normal to talk to someone for hours on the internet but never in person?

Some forms of communication are easier than others. I find it easier to text my friends then call them or see them it person. When you're online, the stresses of environmental factors are usually gone. It's a easier more relaxing setting that allows you time to think about what to say. Offline, taking time to think what to say can lead to the dreaded awkward silence. I think this is normal:)

I have done the EXACT same thing! So for me i would say its normal! we like never talked in person and if we did we would say like one word and it got awkward... but on the internet we coud talk forever! its easier to talk that way! I know exactly how you feel! so dont worry! theres other people out there like you! ;)

too be honest thats how it always is now. thats the new way of communication and meeting/matching up with people. maybe eventually you'll meet up with this person, depending on how long its been going on and yeaa see how things go. GOODLUCK thou.

Normal if your shy, I've done this too. I get shy and can't speak to the person but then be fine on the Internet. I find it strange bit it's normal to me

Well, it's more convenient than meeting up and usually costs nothing. That's the way the world has become.
