Is it normal to talk to yourself a lot?

I live alone at the moment and have a job in a cubicle. My only daily human contact is at lunch hour or during a meeting. Given that, is it normal that whenever I'm alone and no one can hear me I keep up a steady stream of conversation with myself? In the car I pretend I have blue tooth, at my condo I sometimes pace (hoping the people below me can't hear). And no, I don't hear voices, I'm not technically crazy. Does anyone else do this?

I talk to my dolls, is that the same? They have real human hair and skin.

Sometimes its the only intelligent conversation at hand, besides your goldfish of course.

I think out loud simetimes when problem solving but no, I never converse with myself for any other reason. I'm rarely alone though so who knows...maybe I would if I was by myself a lot. I do talk to my animals as if they can understand me but it's not like a conversation, it's shit like 'what are you doing up there you asshole?' or 'who shitted up the place?'

i always hated seeing my mom do this, but now i can't stop... as long as they say something useful/interesting/applicable to the situation and they have intelligence, their an advantage and actually build dendrites in your brain as does reading text.
