Is it normal to talk to yourself out loud when you're alone

in a totally different accent which you'd never use in real life while referring to a collective "we" occasionally, even though it's just you by yourself. I thought everyone did this (not the accent).

    No accent, but I do this a lot. Sometimes I also make jokes out loud and laugh at them.

    I do love living alone!

    Normal, I thinks. I pretend I have a school of cats and I am their teacher and it's my job to teach them everything about how the world works and how to make coffee and stuff.
    But not in an accent, cos that's just weird...

    I talk to myself sometimes when I'm alone on my laptop, phone, or 3DS.

    Normal. Even the accent thing. I'll use various accents to joke with myself or chide myself for some stupid fuck up I did without thinking. I find talking to myself out loud a great reliever of tension. Too bad people are ashamed to admit that they do such a normal, mentally helpful thing.

    I do it all the time. Here is a good trick though. If someone catches you talking to yourself, say "I'm not talking to myself; I'm reporting back to the mother ship".
