Is it normal to think dropping out of high school is usually a bad move?
I graduated high school, basically because I did not want to put forth the effort to drop out then have to take a ton of classes anyway just to get my GED.
But I have an awful lot of friends who dropped out of high school because:
1)They were sick of the "drama"
2)The teachers didn't like them
3)It was boring.
1 and 2 were my problems in the beginning, so I stopped talking to people there. Or at least the touble makers. Done deal. It's not them having to take the GED classes when I drop out, it's me.
3 I understand, but life isn't always super exciting.
I can understand dropping out for necessity, like problems at home that hinder you from going to school, having to support your family etc. But the reasons that my friends had for dropping out are ridiculous and are the majority of what I hear as to why people dropped out. Then they call me a "blind follower" and a "government drone" for staying in school. But I gotta pay the rent, jobs are hard to find without a diploma, y'know? :(
Unless you're ridiculously smart. Most of us aren't. My friends sure aren't.
