Is it normal to think i'm a tomboy?

I've always been the athletic type, i usually am first in rankings in p.e class and i would even surpass the guys sometimes, but not in weightlifting or something it's just that im better than them in activities (soccer,basketball, ping pong ect...) . But why is being athletic considered tomboyish? I hate being called a tomboy just because of my love for sports and i don't know if it's my school that's retarded or that its wrong for girls to enjoy these activities. No, its not my dream to be some kind of sport star, but i dont want to pitch in with the guys playing soccer when all the girls are sitting at the bench probably considering me as "one of the guys". Very few girls like p.e class, and it makes me feel like it's wrong to enjoy it... And the worst part is that some of the girls make fun of me; although the guys dont mind me being the only girl to play... So, (tl;dr) huh? IIN?

    I'm a tomboy too, but I'm terrible at sports. Don't worry about what others think, just be yourself.

    Of course it's normal, First you shouldnt care what the other girls say, it can be they are jealous of you, being how you can talk and relate with the guys. I use to be the same way back in high school...Later on it wouldnt matter, Just keep ya head up Hun.Enjoy your sports.

    Completely normal myself ik a tomboy but i suck at sports.. lol but i make up for it in kicking ass. Now back on topic, you might be good in sports but that doesnt mean your a tomboy. Dont listen to those stupid girls x3
