They now make it impossible for you to sign up with any email adress unless is outlook whatever.
Also, I can't even get them to send me a "recover password" email for my username... it's a total piece of crap.
How is it the worst service ever? It's the only way I can communicate with my long-distance friends. It's free, has quality audio AND video, and it's easy to use. You don't need an outlook account, you need a Skype OR Microsoft account. The reason it's so hard to get in if you forget your account info is because if it were easy, anyone could impersonate you.
It seems that now you can only create a new account with an outlook adress.
I forgot my password and it took an hour for the "automatic" email to arrive.
Also I can't log in with my computer, it just won't.
I finally remembered my password and could log in from the ipad.
You are right, it's not the whole service itself that sucks, it's all the login in process.
I've tried Skype and few times and it drops out so much it's not worth it, even when my wifi has a strong signal.
