Is it normal to think super skinny people are disgusting and disturbing?
Really skinny people have always creeped me out. All of their movements seem too angular like a spider. Their skin seems to be stuck to their bones like beef jerky or a dead mummified corpse with rigor mortis and dry gangrene. They look really spazzy when they walk, and their hands and feet look disgustingly huge for the size of their wrists and ankles.
They often have veiny, narrow necks with a big gaunt head on top that looks like it could roll off at any time. They make me think of poverty, sickness, and death. It's a visceral, guttural reaction I get when I see them. Their boniness makes them seem helpless but they're usually really cocky and confident and that disconnect between two incongruous things is really nauseating. It's even worse when the person has quite dark skin where everything is so deeply shadowed they almost disappear like a creepy cave painting.
They always seem to move in jerks, too quickly; they're like creepy hummingbirds. Their knee and elbow joints look riddled with gout because they appear to be these massive bumpy growths. They look like they shouldn't be able to do anything without fainting from exhaustion and malnourishment. Older skinny people are so wrinkled and dried out they look like walking skeletons. I'm always afraid they'll break when they fall or trip; they look so fragile.
The internet is absolutely brimming with people that hate on overweight and obese people, and I always wonder why there's nobody brave enough to admit they find the opposite just as disgusting, if not more. I'm sure you think/wish this was a troll, but it's not. If you're underweight, you don't look your best, you look weak, frail, and deformed. Everyone should aim to be a healthy weight. It's better to be slightly overweight than anorexic. At least overweight people look healthy/alive! Guys who are skinny don't look hot or cool, they look like sticks. Having a narrow waist as a girl is nice, but not when it's paired with hollow cheeks and no butt.
I'm sorry if you medically can't gain weight, but this is just one person's most likely very unusual opinion. Is there anyone out there that agrees with this?
BTW, no I would not have posted this if I wasn't so sick of people thinking it's OK to hate on one extreme end of a spectrum and not the other. Maybe this will knock some sense into someone when they realize how ridiculous and mean-spirited it is to share an opinion which alienates a large portion of the population.
