Is it normal to think that god must have been the "midwife" when adam & eve ...

...had their first child? They had no experience in such matters and there was nobody else around to help?
I can imagine it must have been just about as exciting for God as it was for them!

I guess I neglected to mention my question was directed at believers. One would have to be a believer to properly answer the question. If you're not a believer you may still answer the question if you want, but your answer is meaningless.
Don't be discouraged though. I read many of your posts and some of them are pretty good!

I suppose that's as good of a question as any, but I don't know and it doesn't matter to me. The genes for every possible combination are all in the human DNA that each of us carries within us. Every time you mix or join 2 gene pools you have an unpredictable outcome similar to when you turn the end of a caleidescope and look through the eyepiece.

It's not normal, although far too common,to believe god and adam and eve are historical figures. Maybe your next post could be about whether or not cinderella's step sisters were really ugly or not?
