Is it normal to think that the cure for cancer has already been found ?

I have a really theory :
I think the US government has already found the cure for cancer, but they haven't informed it, because they want to use our ignorance to win money.

Eh, I'm not one for conspiracy theories. I don't agree with the "there's already a cure for diabetes/hiv/cancer..etc" If you actually looked at the mechanisms of the disease, you'd realize how tough it is. Plus, if a scientist had already discovered this, there's no way they'd keep it secret and let a nobel prize go.

Then why does the government curb smoking everywhere?

I believe that a cure for cancer (and other terminal illnesses) has been developed, not by the U.S. government because that doesn't make any sense, but the governments are not letting these cures pass through the hoops that they must in order to reach the public. All drugs, procedures and products must be screened and this process takes a very long time, the government cuts them off at the pass.

Back in 2008, Both of my Grandmothers were diagnosed with Oat-Cell Cancer, which is one of the hardest to get rid of. both were told they had less than a year. One of them went trough the normal treatment route (Chemo and radiation), and she died less than a year later. My other grandma decided against chemo/radiation, and went through an experimental new cancer treatment. she was getting better, and by 2011, was one treatment away from completely getting rid of her cancer. then they mysteriously stopped treatment, and claimed they were out. the hospital put her on a normal chemo (no radiation) treatement, but she died on April 15, 2012, about a year after she went on the treatment.

The chemo/radiation was the same treatment that was used on the same cancer my grandpa had 30 years ago, and it killed him. I knew they had something better than what they had used forever, and then they got rid of it. WTF?

Had they kept it, she would still be here today.

A German doctor that immigrated to the US in the forties I believe found the cure for cancer. I forget his first name but he is Dr. Gerson. There is a documentary about his life I'f you want to research what I'm saying. He wanted to tell the world about it and he had case studies to prove it. The government did not find the cure but the did keep the truth from the general public. Dr. Gerson was poisoned and died. If people were cured from cancer then a lot of pharmacy companies would be out of business. It's all about the money.

Assuming the US government has a cure for cancer means
    A) that they could keep all those involved with the discovery silent on one of the biggest discoveries humankind has ever made
    B) they believe not curing cancer is more profitable than curing it
    C) that they have the competence to achieve A and B

I don't see any reason to believe A, B or C never mind all three of them.

actually not curing cancer would be more profitable. There is several billion dollars tied up in the industry, from the hospitals, to the medicines and chemo centers,
Hell, before the polio vaccine was found, they had a billion-dollar industry in polio treatment, and that dried up once the cure was found. Its sad to think about it, but It seems many extremely successful people lack a moral compass. Im not exactly sold on the idea that they found a cure, but I know they should have a better treatment by now.

I dont like that people are willing to make money on people dying, but it happens.

I don't think its the U.S. government in particular, because it is mainly private industry (pharmaceuticals, hospitals, etc.) that profits. In fact, the government spends more money on assistance than it could ever earn from cancer. So basically, while "cure for cancer" research is ethical, it is not profitable to the medical industry.

  • I think they have far more secrets than people will ever know. Everyone (or atleast most) will admitt to thinking the people in charge are corrupt.

They might well have it, they might not. I'm certain they have alot mor bigger secrets, though.

I think that the US government had a hand in 9/11 and that there is much more going on in the middle east, Politics-wise, than even the most experienced conspiracy theorists have been able to figure out.
