Is it normal to understand dogs?
Growing up I've had several dogs I've lived with, and I feel like I have a special connection to them.
I can understand their emotions and language much more then other people can, and many people have told me I am very good with dogs. The family dogs I grew up with would only listen to me and no one else, meaning I would teach them tricks and other things, and they would listen to my command.
Everytime I'm out walking or outside dogs I've never seen before will look over at me and be really interested in me, I've tested this out several times with my friends and dogs will still only want to come over to me and ignore my friends.
I am not scared at all of dogs, not even aggressive ones. There was a time a stranger rottweiler had gotten over my fence and into the backyard, the dog was owned by my neighbour and would constantly bark/growl if my sister, mum, dad, friend etc. came near it by the fence. My mum was very scared and told us to stay inside, but I went outside and approached the dog.
He was friendly and let me touch his head, and I managed to convince him to jump back over the fence into his own yard.
Recently there has been a big staffy terrorizeing my mums front yard, while I was over I went up to it and played with it until it left, and my mum hasn't seen the dog since.
Is it normal dogs love me so much?
